Bruce Picton, Chartered Educational Psychologist

Assessments for dyslexia and other learning difficulties

My name is Bruce Picton. I hold an MSc in Educational Psychology from University College London and I am a fully qualified member of the British Psychological Society with over twenty five years’ experience in the field of education and psychology. Having worked in a variety of special educational and Local Education Authority settings I have the knowledge and expertise to deal with the full range of children and adult’s learning difficulties.

I have carried out assessments on behalf of the charity Dyslexia Action for over 20 years.

Children need not have a specific problem to be seen by me. Many parents seek an assessment in order to help them assess their child’s potential and progress and, in some cases, to find the right school.

The problems that parents and students most often seek advice on include:

  • Assessment of dyslexia
  • Reading problems
  • Spelling problems
  • General learning difficulties
  • Handwriting problems
  • Difficulties with maths

I am based in Teddington, Middlesex and my clients come from across London and the Home Counties.

I do hope you will get in touch to discuss how I may help you or your child with your dyslexia or learning difficulties.
